Bargiolina is surrounded by beautiful places, some lesser-known and others more
famous. The area can
be explored on foot or by bicycle, either independently or with guides.
Close by are architectural and artistic treasures like Saluzzo, Staffarda
Abbey, and Manta Castle.
Easily reachable are Turin, Italy's first capital, and the charming city of
Cuneo. The hills and
villages of the Langhe are
perfect for a relaxing day trip. In just over two hours, you can reach the sea in
Liguria or the
French Riviera.
Located in Barge, in a tranquil area not yet discovered by mass tourism, Bargiolina sits in one of the Monviso valleys, at the foot of Montebracco, a site mentioned by Leonardo da Vinci. At around 400 meters above sea level, this hilly region has a history of fruit cultivation and is now rich in food and wine excellence.
This region, recognized by UNESCO as the Monviso Biosphere Reserve, features diverse landscapes from gentle valley hills to high mountains, including the imposing Monviso at 3841 meters.
